EverTrust Bank participates in 2011 California Financial Literacy Month
Date: March 31, 2011
Today, EverTrust Bank joins with federal, state and local government agencies and financial literacy organizations to announce the 11th Annual California Financial Literacy Month (CAFLM). This coordinated consumer education campaign encourages individuals throughout the state to take full advantage of resources designed to improve financial literacy.
This year’s theme – “Financial Responsibility Today for Financial Stability Tomorrow” — highlights the importance of making well-informed financial decisions. In recognition of CAFLM 2011, EverTrust Bank and its partners are promoting free resources to help consumers manage money, credit, and debt and learn to avoid identity theft, protect their privacy, and steer clear of financial scams and fraud.
Regardless of your age or financial situation, there are important and useful lessons to learn about saving, investing and using credit. EverTrust Bank encourages everyone to make an effort to seek information about products you do not understand, compare the costs and fees of financial products and services and read the fine print before signing a contract.
EverTrust Bank partners with Operation HOPE to provide free financial course programs to the youth at title one school. To find out if your school is qualified and/or require free financial course curriculum, please feel free to contact Stella Chang, Deputy CRA Officer, at 626-626-2919.
